Mindfulness based treatment approaches adopt parts of traditional far eastern meditation. They share the principle of "paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally" (Jon Kabat-Zinn). Furthermore they foster the purposeful steering of attention and a tolerant approach towards
one's own thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness based treatment approaches can be combined well with schema therapy.
MBSR (Mindfulness based stress reduction) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) are approaches of whose aspects are integrated into my therapeutical work.
